CITY TERRACE — Sheriff's investigators intend to pursue manslaughter charges against a juvenile whose shotgun went off and killed a man when the youth was trying to retrieve it, authorities said Monday.
Jesus Tejeda, 37, was fatally wounded by a friend late Saturday at his home in the 4100 block of Service Street when the youth was getting a sawed-off shotgun from a closet where the adult had stored it for him, sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Vince Collier said.
