"Have you ever been to Van Rex [recently renamed Surfas, in Culver City]? They have this new truffle butter, I think it's the greatest thing. It's dirt cheap, like $4 for a little sour cream container, and it makes everything taste like you've just been on a truffle hunt.

"So last night I sauteed some potatoes and onions, grilled some pork chops and finished them with the truffle butter. I love this stuff, I've been throwing it on everything. I'm thinking of cooking a turkey in it."
