In response to feedback from residents and city officials, the Orange County Marine Institute is rethinking and downsizing its expansion plans, officials announced at Tuesday's City Council meeting.

The institute has been planning a $1-million expansion for months. More recently, institute officials decided against a 48,000-square-foot expansion.
