Three men were arrested Friday on suspicion of breaking into a discount store in Oxnard and stealing more than 300 items of clothing, police said.

Arturo Ramirez Hernandez, 21, Juan Carlos Ramirez, 20, and Guillermo Favila, 38, were booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of burglary, police said. Bail had not been set, a deputy said.

Hernandez was also being held on suspicion of auto theft for allegedly stealing a Ford Bronco used in the burglary. Ramirez and Hernandez are from Los Angeles and Favila is an Oxnard resident.

Officers responded to the H Mart Discount Store at 215 W. Pleasant Valley Road about 3 a.m. and found three men loading clothes into the Bronco, Oxnard Police Officer Ramiro Holguin said.

The store's glass front door had been shattered and padlocks on a security gate had been forced open with bolt cutters.

Ramirez was arrested at the scene after falling off the Bronco's rear bumper as the vehicle pulled away, police said.

A police patrol car chased the Bronco for several blocks before it was abandoned at Cypress and Pleasant Valley roads. Hernandez was captured during a brief foot chase and Favila was found after a search of the neighborhood by officers, police said.
