* CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (1-0) at TENNESSEE (1-1), 4:30--Northridge came out blazing in an 83-65 victory over Long Beach State on Saturday but Coach Bobby Braswell had better have his troops ready for Tennessee, ranked No. 9 in the AP preseason poll. The Volunteers lost their opener to No. 18 Arizona, 73-72, then defeated Tennessee State on Saturday, 91-69. Returning guards Tony Harris and Brandon Wharton led Tennessee to its first 20-victory season since 1985 and first NCAA tournament berth since '89. The Volunteers lost to Illinois State in the first round. Freshman forward Vincent Yarbrough, one of the nation's most highly recruited players, will get his first start against Northridge, replacing Rashard Lee. Braswell served as an assistant under Tennessee Coach Jerry Green when Green coached at Oregon from 1992-96. Northridge center Andre Larry played under Green at Oregon as a reserve for two seasons before transferring last year.
