The Organization for the Needs of the Elderly is seeking cheerful volunteers to assist at its Sunday morning farmers market. Duties include helping with sales, passing out samples and setting up individual stalls and booths. The Volunteer Center Assistance League of Southern California is looking for volunteers to staff a run/walk/swim event Saturday, which raises funds for organizations that serve AIDS victims. The Los Angeles Family Housing Corp., a nonprofit organization in North Hollywood that provides housing and supportive services to homeless families and individuals, needs volunteers to assist in upcoming events, food drives and community projects. The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank is seeking volunteers to spend one hour a week reading to children who are club members. Volunteers will work one-on-one with the children and are asked to commit to the "Time for Kids" reading program for one year.
