October 06, 1998|JENNIFER HAMM

Cal Lutheran University is inviting alumni to "Come Home to CLU" during the school's homecoming weekend, Friday through Sunday.

The celebration will include a golf tournament, carnival and soccer games as well as the Cal Lutheran football game against Chapman University.

The annual Homecoming Golf Tournament at Camarillo Springs Golf Course will be held Friday. At 7 p.m. that day, the homecoming king and queen will be crowned and an alumni awards ceremony will take place. The night will end with an old-fashioned carnival on Memorial Parkway.

Events Saturday start with soccer games at 8 and 9 a.m. The campus radio station, KCLU, and various academic departments will host open houses throughout the morning.

An all-alumni lunch and block party will precede the football game kickoff at 1 p.m. After the game, a reception will be held at Buth Park. Reunion parties will also be held for the classes of 1968, 1973, 1983, 1988 and 1993.

On Sunday, church services featuring the alumni choir will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Samuelson Chapel.

Cal Lutheran is at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. For information, call the Alumni Relations Office at 493-3170.
