Halloween Carnival to Aid Local Groups

October 06, 1998|CHRISTINE CASTRO

In addition to the usual tricks and treats, the Recreation and Park District's annual Halloween Carnival will benefit local and nonprofit organizations.

Groups can receive up to $60 by staffing four of the district's booths or by sponsoring a game booth of their own. Organizations can also raise money by pre-selling game tickets.

The carnival, held Oct. 31 as an alternative to trick-or-treating, will run from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cypress Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave. Admission is free.

Information: (714) 229-6780.
