LANCASTER — A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of trying to have his wife killed after the man he hired told police about the plan, authorities said Tuesday.
Martyn J. Haggett of Lancaster was arrested about 7 p.m. Monday, said Sheriff's Deputy Michael Irving.
Haggett allegedly wanted his estranged wife and her boyfriend killed, Irving said, and he hired someone to carry out the plan but the alleged hit man went to deputies at the Sheriff's Department's Lancaster station.
