Brenda Adderly has teamed up with yet another expert to teach us how to cure one more common ailment. You may recall her as co-author of "The Arthritis Cure," "The Pain Relief Breakthrough" and "The Prostate Cure." Crook is an expert on memory retention and loss. The audio offers reasons for memory loss and useful and simple steps to prevent it. Mental exercises, foods and supplements are explained in easy-to-understand language. Poe is another of those generic narrators who seem to find so much work in the self-help field. He does, however, have a pleasant voice and very good diction, so we can fault him only for being unexciting. Unless you have the patience to plow through the printed book, which is technical and quite dull, opt for this audio. It has all the information you need and, if you forget any of it, you can always listen again.

The bad news is that if you listen to all 10 hours of this seminar, you are going to feel ripped off. The good news is, I listened for you. Dr. Batmanghelidj is an interesting man with an interesting story. He discovered the curative effects of water while a political prisoner in Iran, and has spent much of his life researching and teaching the effects of dehydration. However, his message is very basic: Drink two quarts of water or more every day. His reasons for doing so are explained in exhausting detail. If you want to know more about the cause and effect of the chronic dehydration from which he claims most Americans suffer, buy his book. It is $15 and will not drone at you. Much of what he has to say makes sense and is useful. However, he also claims that you can cure many serious diseases with water and salt. Hmm. Best to take this with a grain of that salt and talk to your doctor before tossing your inhaler or blood pressure medication.
