Community Day in San Clemente

The Capistrano Valley unit of Church Women United will host "The World Within Our Neighborhood" World Community Day celebration at 1:15 p.m. Friday in the recreation hall of Our Lady of Fatima Church. The Presbyterian Church of the Master's Family Ministries will host Fellowship of Christian Athletes Night from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Sunday. Former professional football players Donnie Dee, Mark Boyer and Jay Schroeder will discuss life in the NFL, their relationships with Jesus Christ and more.

The Adult Ministries will offer a study titled "The Heart That Jesus Gives Us--As Seen in the Sermon on the Mount" from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Dec. 9. The church is at 26051 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo. (949) 582-2670.

The Habitat for Humanity of Orange County will host a "Blitz Kickoff" from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday to mark its "Blitz Build" home construction event. Calvary Church of Santa Ana will present the '50s and '60s rock 'n' roll band, The Convertibles, in concert during the annual Un-Halloween Party from 5 to 9 tonight. There will be a cakewalk, Bungee run, obstacle course, food and candy. Guests are encouraged to dress in '50s and '60s attire.
