Petersen Makes a Move With 2 Surfer Publications' Titles

Bike and Powder magazines, published in San Juan Capistrano, are heading to the mountains. Petersen Publishing, which acquired the two titles last month as part of its acquisition of Surfer Publications, is moving the offices of the two magazines to Boulder, Colo.

Los Angeles-based Petersen has three other magazines based in Boulder, all devoted to in-line skating: In Line Magazine, In Line Retailer & Industry News and Box.

Brent Diamond, publisher of Bike and Powder, and Steve Casimino, editor of the two magazines, were dismissed.

The move leaves three Surfer Publications' titles in San Juan Capistrano: Surfer, Snowboarder and Inside Golf. Petersen officials couldn't be reached for comment Tuesday.
