THOUSAND OAKS — Bryan Henry's second touchdown, with 2:08 to play, gave Crescenta Valley High a 14-13 victory over Thousand Oaks in a nonleague opener for both teams on Friday.

Henry's two-yard run capped a 17-play, 61-yard drive that consumed 8:56 of the fourth quarter. The drive was kept alive by two fourth-down penalties against Thousand Oaks.

Lancer running back Joey Casillas' 11-yard run on a draw play with 1:02 to play pulled Thousand Oaks within 14-13. Casillas had 10 carries for 79 yards.

Going for the victory, the Lancers lined up for the attempt as the coaches attempted to call time out. The players didn't notice and quarterback Gabe Portilla's pass fell incomplete.

"There was no hesitation on the two-point conversion try," Thousand Oaks Coach Mike Kelly said. "We came here to win."

Portilla was six of 12 for 59 yards. Teammate Wes Cobos had 19 carries for 98 yards, including a three-yard touchdown run.

Henry had six carries for 23 yards and two touchdowns. Santoro was eight of 13 for 87 yards.
