Airport, Visitors Bureau Team Up on Tourism Plan

Los Angeles International Airport and the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau have teamed up to invest $12 million each over the next three years to attract visitors to Southern California.

The Board of Airport Commissioners approved funding Wednesday for the project.

As part of the effort, field offices will be opened in Germany, Tokyo and Britain to promote passenger and cargo traffic through LAX and tourism throughout the Southland.
