No Easy Answers for Ravens' Coach

September 18, 1998

Jim Harbaugh or Eric Zeier?

Does it matter?

Harbaugh worked out with the Ravens' first team, but Coach Ted Marchibroda has been reserved in his comments because of Zeier's splendid play. Harbaugh, trying to recover from a dislocated finger, provides the best long-term answer for Baltimore, but Marchibroda has to win now to stay employed.

Kordell Stewart is 2-0 for the Steelers, but what has he done?

Stewart has thrown for two touchdowns with three interceptions in two games. His quarterback rating is better than only Manning in the AFC, and Pittsburgh's pass offense ranks No. 29.

Neil O'Donnell, beating out Jeff Blake in Cincinnati, has completed 72% of his passes with three touchdowns and one interception. Given all the teams searching for quarterbacks, Blake becomes an attractive product come the trading deadline in October.
