Rosh Hashana Celebrations Coming

The Chabad Chai Center will celebrate Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, with services at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Jewish Federation Senior Center Campus. The United Church of God, Garden Grove, will host a Prophecy Seminar beginning at 2:30 this afternoon at the Orangewood Adventist Academy. The seminar will last through Sunday. Rabbi Arnold Rachlis will lead "Shabbat Shuvah" (the Sabbath of Return) services at 8 p.m. Friday at the University Synagogue. Sitting in a circle, the congregation will attempt understanding of the High Holy Days using meditation, poetry and shared comments about the difficulties of repentance and forgiving others.
