One of skid row's oldest missions will celebrate its 75th anniversary today.

Serving about 500 meals each day, the Midnight Mission on Los Angeles Street has been a fixture for the "city's poorest of the poor," said mission spokeswoman Mary Barrow.

Six hundred people are expected to attend tonight's dinner at the Biltmore Hotel, where a diverse group of guests will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of Clancy Imislund as managing director of the mission, Barrow said.
