Eldorado 12, Sylmar 7--Larry Anguino had two hits and scored two runs, and Eddie Aguinaga had two hits and drove in a run but the Spartans (9-3) were beaten.

Poly 5, Birmingham 3--Carlos Reguengo (4-2) pitched a three-hitter and struck out six, and George Felix had two hits for the Parrots, who won their bracket with a 4-0 record.

Poly (10-5) snapped the Patriots' six-game winning streak.

Earlier, Poly defeated Woodside, 14-4.

Taft 4, Chaparral 1--Aric Haut (1-0) scattered six hits and struck out six, and Josh Wade had two hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs to help the Toreadors (4-7) win.

Kennedy 17, West Jordan (Utah) 4--Juan Sepulveda had three hits and drove in three runs, and Jeremy Serr had two hits, including a three-run home run, for the Golden Cougars (6-8).
