In an earlier game, Mater Dei defeated Palm Desert, 14-1. Steve Henderson went two for three with three RBIs and pitcher Nick Lovato had eight strikeouts, no walks and allowed only one hit as Mater Dei improved to 9-2. Palm Desert is 11-3.

Servite 10, Crest View (Fla.) 0 (5 mercy)--Senior center fielder Ben Francisco went three for four with two RBIs for Servite (11-2). Senior Joe Schaefer picked up his third win, pitching five innings, recording five strikeouts, no walks and giving up only two hits. The Friars face Englewood (Fla).
