Despite objections from business owners, the City Council has unanimously adopted a plan to change two street names. A portion of Lemon Street will become North Anaheim Boulevard, and a portion of North Anaheim near La Palma Avenue will become North La Palma Way. Businesses in the affected areas questioned the purpose of the change and said it would cause an undue financial burden to change printed material, signs and advertising listings with the former street names. City officials proposed reimbursing businesses up to $400.
