Microsoft Corp. and MSNBC have sued three Los Angeles County residents for allegedly registering Internet domain names similar to theirs, potentially leading computer users to pornographic sites. Microsoft and MSNBC, a joint venture of Microsoft and General Electric Co.'s NBC network, claim the defendants purposely registered names such as "misrosoft.com" and "mnsbc.com" to confuse people searching for Microsoft.com and MSNBC.com, according to the federal suit filed in Los Angeles.
