* Conejo Recreation and Park District Board of Directors honored Alexis Sowa with the Young Athlete Recognition Award. Sowa was an undefeated Marmonte League Diving Champion from 1996 to 1998, which included three most-valuable-player awards. Sowa was also the 1998 Thousand Oaks High School valedictorian. At 16, she entered Stanford University, where she has continued her diving career.
