Miroslav Satan scored his second goal of the game at 10:35 of the second overtime period Friday night to give the Buffalo Sabres a 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators at Kanata, Canada.

The victory gave the Sabres a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal playoff series.

After a turnover in the neutral zone, Jason Woolley took a shot from the left point that Damian Rhodes kicked out with his left pad. The rebound came out to Satan, who was standing alone to the right of the net. Joe Juneau, returning from a concussion, got the puck to Woolley on the winning goal.

Dallas 3, Edmonton 2--Jere Lehtinen and Guy Carbonneau each scored for the second game in a row at Dallas to give the Stars a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference series.

Jamie Langenbrunner scored the winner with his first goal of the playoffs. His goal at 14:22 of the third period made the score 3-1 before Edmonton's Doug Weight scored with 3:11 to play.
