A Family Home That Has Rooms to Spare

April 28, 1999|Harrison Sheppard

Selling points: Plenty of big rooms and separate in-law quarters

Location: Westminster

Asking price: $333,000

The Bacon family's 2,700-square-foot house has six bedrooms and four bathrooms, a spacious dining room and living room and a family room. Five years ago, a cozy in-law quarters was added to accommodate seller Vicki Bacon's daughter, son-in-law and grandchild.

But now only Vicki and her teenage son live in the big house, and after 10 years, they have decided to leave.

The Sol Vista tract home has a pool with a fountain and slide, and automatic sprinklers. The four upstairs bedrooms have hardwood floors and ceiling fans.

It's near Eastwood Elementary School.

"There are still a lot of original owners from 1964 and plenty of new ones" in the neighborhood, Vicki says. "It's very safe and comfortable. People are friendly."

The property has room to park an RV.

"Because we're on a corner, we've had a lot of natural exposure, and a lot of people looking," Bacon says. "But you have to have the right combination of people needing something this big and having the money for it."
