GARDEN GROVE
State Atty. Gen. Bill Lockyer will speak Wednesday at a free public seminar for seniors, “Schemes, Scams and Rip-Offs.” The event, hosted by State Sen. Joe Dunn (D-Santa Ana) and the California Union of Safety Employees, will address telemarketing schemes, mail fraud, unscrupulous contractors, and insurance and health care fraud. The event begins at 9 a.m. at the Garden Grove Community Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. Information: (714) 705-1580.
