Easter Seals Tri-Counties received a $24,000 grant from the Wood-Claeyssens Foundation. The money will be used for the design of a master plan for Easter Seals' Ventura facility and a preliminary plan for the expansion of the rehabilitation pool building.
Women Pilots Group Awards 5 Scholarships he Ninety-Nines, the Santa Paula chapter of the International Women Pilots Assn., announced the winners of its 1999 scholarship awards. They are Aleta Buckelew of Thousand Oaks, Lou Ann Poe of Newbury Park, Christine Johansen of Oak View, Bettina Jensen of Ventura and Wendy Kennedy of Oxnard. Each year the chapter provides up to $500 each for women training to become private pilots.
