Several Seal Beach coffee shops and bakeries are raising funds through Jan. 1 to aid children with cancer and blood disorders. Parents Against Cancer is attempting to surpass last year's $5,000 raised by its Christmas Coffee for Kids with Cancer campaign. Customers are asked to consider this year's theme: "Ten cents here, 10 cents there. Making a difference a dime at a time." Shops participating include Sweet Jill's, Cinnamon Productions, Old Town Cafe, the Coffee Bean Bakery and Blue Mountain Bagels.
