Murray and Adele Rosenbluth were recently honored as Citizens of the Year during the Port Hueneme Chamber of Commerce/Oxnard Harbor District installation and award dinner.
Murray Rosenbluth is mayor pro tem of Port Hueneme, serves on a number of advisory committees and volunteers with youth organizations.
Adele Rosenbluth is president of Friends of the Ray D. Prueter Library and volunteers with youth programs. Both are members of the Navy League, Ventura County Women's Council and Friends of the Thomas Bard Mansion.
Other award winners are: Deborah Hilgerman, of Coast Marketing and Printing, Business Person of the Year; Terry Truxler, chair of the Education Committee and advocate for schools in the community, who received the President's Award, and Jacquelynn Major, Outstanding Military Person. Major is a petty officer stationed at the Naval Air Station in Point Mugu.
