*** DJ Rap, "Learning Curve," Columbia. As a lonely teenager, Charissa Saverio found refuge in the hypnotic soundscapes of the London rave scene. Now she's giving something back to that world by creating an opulent universe marked by sumptuous beats and her mellifluous singing. It's good to see a woman finally breaking into the male-dominated deejay field with unerring instinct and likable aplomb. Let's hope others will follow.
