Tour of Hancock Park Home to Benefit Pediatric Program

July 04, 1999

The public is invited to tour a newly restored Georgian Adam Revival home in Los Angeles' Hancock Park this weekend.

The residence at 341 S. Arden Blvd. will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $10 at the door, with proceeds going to the City of Hope's pediatric oncology program.

The home, owned by the Clark family, was built in 1916. It has living area of 5,000 square feet, including the main residence, chauffeur's quarters (now a guest apartment) and pool cabana.

The house has five bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and formal living, dining and breakfast rooms, kitchen and butler's pantry. Almost every room was restored, as was the home's exterior. Both frontyard and backyard were re-landscaped.

Jeffrey Khteian, who has his own interior design firm, and contractor Albert Sanders did the design and restoration, which took two years and cost more than $1 million.
