SUSANVILLE--"Cowboys and Clowns" is the theme of the Lassen County Fair, Wednesday through next Sunday. Carnival rides, home arts exhibits, livestock shows and entertainment are featured. GILROY--Pack some mints for a trip to the 21st annual Garlic Festival next weekend, July 23-25. Along with garlic foods, check out the wine, arts and crafts in Christmas Hill Park. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. each day. $10; $5 seniors and ages 6-12. (408) 842-6436.

SAN DIEGO--A two-day festival and a mile-long parade are highlights of the 25th San Diego Gay Pride Weekend, July 24-25. The parade begins at noon Saturday at University Avenue and Normal Street. DELANO--Celebrate with Filipinos and others who settled in this town, 30 miles from Bakersfield, at the Philippine Weekend, July 24-25. There will be a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by a fiesta and entertainment. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. both days. Cecil Avenue Park. Free. (805) 725-7193.
