Jimmy Buffett has come on board "MOM--Music for Mother Ocean III," the third in a series of albums benefiting the Surfrider Foundation's clean waters campaign. Buffett recorded a live version of Frankie Ford's old "Sea Cruise" that's being added to the record just in time for its Aug. 10 release. Other participants include Pearl Jam, Smash Mouth, Brian Setzer teaming with Brian Wilson, and a Snoop Dogg collaboration with Rage Against the Machine. Paul McCartney is contributing the old Wings track "Wild Life." . . .

Teen-culture queens Britney Spears and Melissa Joan Hart ("Sabrina the Teenage Witch") are teaming up in a video for Spears' "Drive Me Crazy," which will be on the soundtrack for Hart's upcoming movie "Next to You." . . .

In addition to finishing his own next album, David Bowie guested on two songs by the Maine band Rustic Overtones being produced by Tony Visconti, who oversaw Bowie's early albums. . . .

Keith Emerson is expected to anchor the Shag-A-Delics, a U.K.-USA '60s aggregate performing at the July 4 Tea Party, the closing event to the American Cinematheque's "Mods & Rockers" film festival. The event benefits the Cinematheque.*
