The City Council last week took emergency action to spend $7,100 for repairs to sewer pipes that serve homeowners on Sycamore Circle. City Engineer Gary D. Johnson told the council that the repairs were needed quickly to avoid the possibility of sewage spilling onto streets.
Engineered Systems and Construction Inc. of Corona has been hired to replace two main pipes; work is scheduled to begin this week. Johnson said that it should take only a couple of days to fix the pipes and that service to residents won't be interrupted.
