SEASON AT A GLANCE: Clocherty won a Channel League championship at 140 pounds and placed fourth in the Southern Section Division I finals.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Clocherty placed first at the Southern Section Masters meet and will enter the state finals in Stockton on Friday as the Southern Section's top-seeded competitor. Clocherty was undefeated in five matches at the Masters, including victories over three division champions.

SEASON AT A GLANCE: Murray has been the steadying force on a youthful team, averaging 11.8 points and four assists per game for the Channel League champions. Murray, who has a scholarship offer from UC Irvine, is one of the main reasons the fourth-seeded Bulldogs have a legitimate shot at winning the Southern Section Division I-A title.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: In a second-round victory over Simi Valley, Murray had 13 points and seven assists, zipping several passes inside to freshman Courtney LaVere and sophomore Kelly Greathouse for easy baskets. Murray also had 13 points in a quarterfinal victory over Huntington Beach Marina. "She's definitely been our leader in the playoffs, which is what you hope for at this time of year," Buena Coach Joe Vaughan said.
