The City Council appointed residents Don Davis and Irwin E. Alber to the Irvine Transportation Authority at its meeting this week. Mayor Pro Tem Greg Smith suggested Davis, a Woodbridge Village Assn. member, for the post. Though Davis failed to receive support from Mayor Christina L. Shea and Councilman Dave Christensen, the other three members of the council favored him. Alber received unanimous support.
