City officials have decided to sell the historic Kinsler house but have yet to set a date to put it on the market. The buyer of the one-story, two-bedroom home would be required to abide by restrictions for preserving historic houses. The Craftsman-style bungalow was the home of Charles Kinsler, who spearheaded Brea's move to incorporate in 1917. Crews moved the house March 1 from Redwood Avenue to Orange Avenue to remove it from the downtown redevelopment area and are now finishing up some restoration work on its interior and exterior.
