Two boys who police say have admitted causing $30,000 worth of damage at the public library were each charged Monday with one felony count of vandalism and now face additional misdemeanor counts relating to other incidents. One of the boys, a 15-year-old, also was charged with two counts of felony car burglary, possession of stolen property and petty theft, said Senior Deputy Dist. Atty. Joe D'Agostino. The other, a 16-year-old, was also charged four misdemeanor counts, he said.

D'Agostino said the 15-year-old could be sentenced to the California Youth Authority until his 21st birthday. The 16-year-old could be sent there for a maximum of three years and eight months. D'Agostino said the district attorney plans to seek restitution for the library damage.
