Fixing a Boo-Boo, After a Fashion

May 12, 1999|BOOTH MOORE

It used to be that people wanted their bandages to be invisible. But now there are some that can make your boo-boo look like a tattoo.

Capitalizing on the popularity of temporary tattoos, 3M's new Nexcare bandages come in several sizes and styles, with drawings of bugs, flowers, peace signs, smiley faces, tie-dye and various sports. The waterproof bandages have a clear background, so only the image shows up on your skin.

Band-Aid brand has come up with its own way of treating minor cuts and scrapes with fun: Sticker Creations Adhesive Bandages. These clear strips come with 50 different stickers kids can apply to them. Choose from panda bears, cars, Martians, palm trees, ice cream cones and more.
