Spencer Oborn

Junior, Baseball

Oborn had nine hits in 17 at-bats (.529) last week when Cal State Fullerton swept a three-game series at New Mexico State. Oborn had four home runs, two triples and three doubles and Oborn drove in 15 runs.

Oborn, a transfer from Brigham Young who played at Diamond Bar High, is batting .406 for the season with 14 home runs and 78 RBIs.


Baseball: The Titans (43-9, 24-3) close the regular season this weekend in a three-game series against Long Beach State (30-20, 17-10) at Titan Field. Games are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Fullerton has clinched the Big West championship and the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA playoffs.

Softball: The Titans (34-24, 13-8 in the Big West) play Pacific in a doubleheader at 5 p.m. Friday and a single game at 2 p.m. Saturday at Titan softball complex. Fullerton swept a three-game series at New Mexico State last weekend to stay in the running for the Big West title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs.

Track and field: The Titan distance runners will compete in the Fila Distance Classic at 6 p.m. Saturday at USC. The rest of the team will compete in the L.A. Invitational Saturday at Cal State Northridge.
