The Special Olympics torch will pass through the city June 2 about 3:30 p.m. as part of the Southern California Law Enforcement Torch Run. The run, which spans hundreds of miles and benefits the Orange County Special Olympics, will require the efforts of more than 3,400 police-officer and employee runners. The three-day Special Olympics Southern California Summer Games begin June 11 in Long Beach. Information: (949) 497-0387.
