Moreno Valley 5, Saugus 0--Wendy Allen pitched a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts to eliminate the Centurions at Moreno Valley in another Division II quarterfinal.

Stephine Tafoya hit a two-run double in the fourth for Moreno Valley (20-7).

DIVISION I

Thousand Oaks 1, A.B. Miller 0--Nicole Angelo (12-3) pitched a five-hitter with three strikeouts, and the unseeded Lancers defeated the Citrus League champion Rebels at A.B. Miller.

The Lancers (23-8) will play defending champion Mater Dei in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Thousand Oaks scored in the third when Michelle Spencer beat the throw home on Andi Keesling's chopper to shortstop.

DIVISION III

Newbury Park 3, Placentia Valencia 1--Tawni Yamauchi hit a two-out, two-run home run in the fifth inning to power the host Panthers into the semifinals.

Yamauchi had two hits for Newbury Park (24-7) and scored two runs.

Alyson Blum and Katie Stokx (16-4) each had four strikeouts and combined on a seven-hitter for Newbury Park.

DIVISION IV

Rosary 2, Harvard-Westlake 0--The Royals scored two unearned runs at Rosary.

Anna Russell (12-3) issued a bases-loaded walk to score one run, and the other run for Rosary (23-8) scored on a two-out error.

DIVISION V

L.A. Baptist 5, Mary Star 0--Nikki Girard pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts to help the Knights win at L.A. Baptist.

Girard (12-6) hit a two-run double in the fifth for L.A. Baptist.

L.A. Baptist (14-11) will play two-time defending champion Calvary Chapel on Tuesday.

DIVISION VI

Cornerstone Christian 2, Liberty Christian 1--Shannon Brown's run-scoring single with two out in the bottom of the seventh gave the defending champion Eagles a quarterfinal victory at Mission Oaks Park in Camarillo.

Juli Hartnell (17-6) allowed one hit and struck out eight for the Eagles (18-6), who play Linfield in the semifinals on Tuesday.
