Planning commissioners are upset with the City Council's recent decision to open the post of youth advisor to all high schools in the city.

The commission had recommended that the appointee come from Brea Olinda High School, but council members decided the position should also be open to students at local private schools and Brea Canyon Alternative School.

Commissioners said they believed the decision would create delays in filling the new advisory position.
