The next meeting of the General Plan Coordinating Committee will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Board Room of the Leisure World Administration Building, 23522 Paseo de Valencia.
The appointed committee of about two dozen residents and local leaders is starting the general plan process and is encouraging the community to participate. The document will outline the city's goals and policies in terms of development, housing, safety and other issues.
