August 29, 2000|BARBARA MURPHY

PDQuick in Camarillo, a home delivery grocery retailer, has reached an agreement with Nestle USA for the online ordering and express delivery of Nestle products to consumers at home or work.

The agreement is part of PDQuick's strategy to provide popular brands of products and freshly prepared meals to consumers in this fast-growing segment, company officials said.

Dan Fredrickson, PDQuick's chief executive, said the agreement will pair his company's strength in online business with Nestle's well-known consumer products.

PDQuick said customers will be able to order by computer or phone a variety of Nestle food and beverage products, including Stouffer's, Lean Cuisine, Libby's Juicy Juice, Nescafe, Nestle Crunch and Nestle Toll House. Delivery can be expected in about 30 minutes.

PDQuick was established in 1987 as Pink Dot Inc., focusing on the Los Angeles and Orange County consumer markets. The company recently received $20 million in funding from TH Lee.Putnam Internet Partners and another $15 million from several other investors to finance its national expansion, which includes establishing centers on the East Coast.
