Marine Shot to Death in Van Nuys

VAN NUYS — A 33-year-old Marine died early Sunday morning after he was shot in the chest in the 16100 block of Saticoy Street.

At 2 a.m., police received a call that a man had been shot.

The victim, Luis Gonsales III, was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he died shortly afterward.

Los Angeles police officers were unable to provide any more information Sunday evening.
