January 27, 2000|From Times Wire Reports

The U.N. war crimes court in The Hague reduced a Bosnian Serb war criminal's sentence by five years, ordering him to spend 20 years in prison for the murder of seven Muslim civilians in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1992. Dusan Tadic, 44, participated in Serbian attacks on his hometown and other villages and helped herd villagers into camps where they were killed, beaten and kept in inhumane conditions during the 1992-95 Bosnian conflict.
