Six Flags Magic Mountain, 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, hosts its annual "Strictly USA" celebration from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with fireworks, live music and dancing. The events are included with park admission, which ranges from $20.50 to $40. Park guests may also pay $8.95 to join the "Great American Picnic" from 5 to 8 p.m. Picnic includes all-you-can-eat chicken dinner, face painting, games and entertainment and VIP seating for the 9:30 p.m. fireworks show. Singer Cuba Gooding Sr. headlines the fourth annual free Fourth of July event at Valley College, 5800 Fulton Ave. Gooding was a member of the Motown group Main Ingredient that was perhaps most famous for its chart-topping rendition of "Everybody Plays the Fool." The 3-10 p.m. celebration will also feature patriotic music by the Tony MacLaren Band, food booths and a fireworks display starting at 9:30 p.m. In keeping with the theme, "Music for Our Children," guests are asked to donate a new or used musical instrument.
