Resident Janine Limas received the Mimi's Cafe Second Chance Award Wednesday for escaping the cycle of domestic violence. Limas, 35, also received a $1,000 grant, raised through French Onion soup sales at the restaurant. The award is designed to support domestic abuse prevention and rehabilitation.
