The Planning Commission deemed that a number of proposed housing developments are eligible for City Council review to determine the number of houses each developer will be allowed to build this year.

The commission's annual review became necessary when Measure B, which prohibits the city from adding more than 500 homes each year, was approved in 1996.

At Tuesday's meeting, the commission determined that Marblehead Coastal, two segments of the Talega development, Villa Pacifica and a portion of Laing Forster Ranch all meet the city's criteria for development.
