Traveler's Notes . . .

March 05, 2000

San Francisco's 107-room Hotel Vintage Court at 650 Bush St. is now an entirely nonsmoking hotel. A semi-enclosed "smoking zone" is provided near the hotel's entrance. Tel. (800) 654-1100. . . . The Resort at Summerlin outside Las Vegas, which began opening its hotel rooms in July and won't be fully opened until at least April 1, has already changed its name. It's now the Regent Las Vegas, and its twin towers, formerly the Regent Grand Palms and the Regent Grand Spa, are now just the Palms Tower and the Spa Tower. A spokeswoman said the hotel wanted to identify itself clearly as a Regent International Hotel, which had licensed it from the start. Tel. (877) 869-5777.
